Andy was awarded an ITV production scholarship in 1996.

He went on to work on the development and production of factual, entertainment and drama programmes for companies such as the BBC, Carlton, Flawless Media, LWT and Lion TV. 

His series credits include ‘Bombay Blush’ for BBC2,  ‘Movie Nights’ for Carlton TV and ‘The Joy Of Decks’ for ITV.

Andy is an experienced producer of shorts. His first ‘Guardian Angel’ won production awards including at Chicago IFF and was screened on ITV.

His latest, John Williams live action film ‘Hibernation’, has collected over 20 international awards including at Edinburgh IFF, Manhattan, Zagreb and Clermont Ferrand. Andy is one of the founders of Sound Films and the founder of Sound Talent.

 

 

Christos Michaels founded Sound Films with Andy Gordon and has many years’ experience of the business side of the film industry.

In addition to his involvement with Sound, Christos is a partner at leading entertainment law firm of Lee & Thompson representing distributors, sales agents, financiers and a range of new and established producers. The firm recently represented the producers of Oscar winners “The Last King of Scotland” and “The Queen”.

He joined in 2006 from Mel Gibson's Icon UK Group, where for several years he was in charge of business affairs for development, sales agency, finance, production and distribution in the UK, Australia and internationally. Christos worked on a huge variety of films there such as “Apocalypto”, “What Women Want” and “It’s a Boy Girl Thing”.

Before that he was at Harbottle & Lewis where he acted for producers, financiers, actors and agents on films such as “East is East” and “Kevin & Perry”. He was trained at magic circle City law firm Linklaters.

Christos was one of the 14 UK film executives selected in 2004 to attend the “Inside Pictures” fast track networking scheme in London and Los Angeles. The first film produced by Christos and Andy Gordon at Sound was “Hibernation”, the international multi award winning short by John Williams.

 

 

Peter was a Producer, Executive Producer and Programme Editor at BBC Television before joining Carlton Television. He filmed on location in more than 25 different countries world wide for the BBC. At Carlton he was Controller of Digital and Community Programmes and was responsible for a wide range of programming – including the introduction of innovative dramatised factual programmes with a campaigning and educational edge.

He led the vast expansion of production at Carlton with the launch of digital terrestrial television in the U.K. and the Carlton digital channels. This production included children’s entertainment, lifestyle, documentary and business programmes.

Peter was also responsible for instigating and running the fast track graduate production training scheme ‘Shift’ for Carlton Productions, which brought new young production talent to television.

Programmes for which Peter has been responsible or has personally produced and directed have won more than 50 national and international awards.

Peter holds a Master’s Degree in Communications and is currently MD of Screenchannel Ltd, an independent television production company based in central London.
